Donna Paz Kaufman

Donna's grandparents lived outside Lublin, Poland before emigrating to Detroit, Michigan in 1915. One of the greatest thrills of her life was to visit the family farm and meet family who still live in Poland.

When not volunteering for Care for Polish Orphans, Donna and her husband, Mark, help people throughout the world open and run their own independent bookstores.

Her passions in life are many and include reading, kayaking, writing for her community's local newspaper ... and pierogies!

Rafal Rouba
Rafal grew up in Torun, Poland and knows what it was like to live under communist rule, waiting in line for some of life's most simple things.

Rafal has completed a Ph.D. program and is dedicated to heritage preservation in Poland. He can be found helping others see the beauty, history and culture in Poland -- that is when he's not checking in with with the orphanages or delivering items that will make their lives easier.

His passions include travel, hunting for mushrooms, and spending time with family. Want to visit Poland? Ask Rafal.

Mark Kaufman
Mark's grandparents lived in Piatnica, Poland and were fortunate to have left the country before the Nazis invaded.

Having worked for several national non-profit charitable organizations to witness how much of a donation is used for administrative expenses, Mark's passion is to fully put your donation dollar to direct use -- working with dedication and integrity for the confidence of others.

To refresh and renew, you'll find Mark reading newspapers, riding his bike, and walking the beach looking for sharks' teeth.

Dorota Rokicka

Dorota is in constant contact with orphanages all over Poland in her work with international adoptions, often staying a week or longer at an orphanage with couples who are adopting.

Dorota and her husband have a daughter they adopted from Poland. She assists Care for Polish Orphans by advising us of the greatest needs (and well managed facilities) so that we may put donations to their best use with confidence.

Mike Clemens

Mike spent his career in international banking where he traveled extensively throughout the world, including Poland. He and his wife, Mary, have three children --two they adopted from  orphanages in Korea.

Today, Mike is enjoying his retirement and his new role as volunteer. With Care for Polish Orphans, Mike advises us on accounting matters and suggests the most affordable ways to transfer and convert funds (your donations) to help the children.

Ann Wasik Annovi
Anna Wasik Annovi and Donna Paz Kaufman discovered their family ties and coordinated a family reunion between the families in U.S. and Poland. Anna lives in Warsaw with her husband and two daughters and teaches business English at the Warsaw School of Economics.

Anna is another contact in Poland to offer advice and help where needed.

Anna met her husband Roberto in Italy and they travel frequently to visit their families in Lublin, Poland and Modena, Italy.
